The Softletter Forums

Welcome to the Softletter Forums!

The Softletter Forums are designed to allow members of our industry to talk with their peers, exchange ideas, ask questions, and, yes, socialize if you wish. We do have some very simple rules we ask that you follow while you are here.

House Rules

First, no obscenities, please. If you wish to express extreme emotion, we suggest the creative use of the symbol keys on your keyboard!

Second, please avoid unfounded personal accusations; if you have a disagreement with someone, focus on the argument, not the person. On the other hand, if you disagree with someone, feel free to back up your assertions with facts, figures, and personal experience!

Third, please avoid heavy and overt advertising. If you're in the industry and work as a consultant, I'm sure you realize that discreet references to your capabilities and services are more effective than an obvious ad. If while doing so you provide real value via the content of your messages, we're OK with you. If you're an author, please feel free to offer relevant quotes from your books when answering questions from forum members; we have a soft spot for you scribblers out there.

For those of you who wish to socialize, kibitz, gossip, discuss politics, network, tussle online and/or generally just relax, we have The Bullpen! Politics, humor, speculation all go there.

If you have a file you'd like to contribute to the forum, please contact rickchapman@softletter.com or donr@softletter.com to make arrangements.

Needless to say, all board spam will be immediately deleted and the accounts of those posting it will be terminated.
